Practice Service Scoping & Pre-Authorisation Form

The service provides NHS patients, waiting for an initial outpatient consultation, the opportunity to transfer to a faster alternative pathway through an alternative NHS approved provider of outpatient services. The service will target patients who have been waiting more than 3 months for an initial Gastroenterology outpatient consultation.

This pathway will alleviate demand generated on GP practices through patient waiting and hospitals by offering an expedited, high-quality route for patients to access necessary specialist care sooner.
